User Guide

We'll go over some steps to get you started on the Afar Platform no matter how long you've been around.

Linking Your Account

First, you'll want to link your accounts to Afar. Currently, Afar supports the following platforms:

To link your accounts, simply navigate to a server that uses the Afar bot, and perform the following actions:

  1. Run /link create
  2. Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (if you haven't already)
  3. Follow the instructions provided by the bot to link your accounts
    • This usually involves putting a code into your ROBLOX profile (you can add it to the end of your bio) or joining a game

Once your accounts are linked, Afar knows who you are when you run commands or perform actions in Discord or ROBLOX.

Understanding your Profile

Your linked accounts are saved separately from your Afar profile. We will automatically generate a profile for you at times, such as when purchasing a product, but you can also manually create a profile by running /profile create. Sometimes you may be asked to manually create a profile before proceeding with an action.

Think of it this way, when you're adjusting your information for other platforms, you're editing your link. When you're adjusting your information for Afar, you're editing your profile.

Purchasing Products

When you would like to purchase a product on Afar using ROBUX, you can do so by running the /hub link command to get the link to the hub that sells the product, and then adding the product to the cart and checking out. You can add multiple products to the cart for a single transaction, while only needing to pay for one transaction on the ROBLOX platform, unlike other hub systems you may have used in the past.

When your purchase is completed, if successful, a notice will be sent to your Discord DMs within a few minutes. You can then choose to retrieve the product. If you do bnot receive a notice within a few minutes, it may be because your DMs were closed to the bot. In such a situation, please open your DMs and run /product retrieve in the server you purchased the product in to retrieve your product.

Please note, due to regulatory compliance, you may be asked to waive certain rights before being permitted to download your product.

Migrating your Account

Some hubs may have used a previous provider before Afar, and your transactions may be stored with that provider. If the hub owner has chosen to migrate their data to Afar, you can run /migrate to begin the migration process to move your licenses over.

For more information on migrating, please refer to the Migrating as a Client guide.
